The long-established Bielefeld-based company Delius manufactures high-quality decorative and furnishing fabrics. In 2020, Delius was planning its trade fair stand at EuroShop in Düsseldorf,
the world's leading trade fair for retail design. 17 students from the Bachelor's degree programme in Interior Architecture designed for the realisation project and presented their ideas to the company in front of a jury.
As the project progressed, the students worked together as a team planning and bringing the winnig design to life. The result is a showcase for the Delius fabrics product range. Hanging tubes of different thicknesses and sizes symbolised the "flame-retardant", "moisture and dirt-resistant" and "sound-absorbing" properties of the fabrics using daylight lamps,
loudspeakers and projectors. Thanks to the ingenious arrangement of the tubes, there was plenty of space for discussions and the presentation of the sample fabrics on 22 square metres.
My project partner Lisa Kostyra and I contributed the design of the sample tables, which were replicated one-to-one for the exhibition stand, as well as the loudspeakers for the tubes.
